First 3D-printed lunar launch pad is built"A team of undergraduate students from 10 colleges and universities across the U.S. designed the reusable landing pad, constructed from materials available on the moon. In October 2020, Icon helped the students build a subscale prototype pad at Camp Swift using a cement-based material and a gantry-style printing system Icon developed. In early March, the team reunited at the camp to test the pad by static-firing a rocket engine."
